Head Teacher

Hello everyone! I’m Ms. Liu Pui Shan, and I’m honored to join the loving family of N.M.S. Lutheran Kindergarten. I’m thankful to God for guiding me on this meaningful journey in early childhood education.

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve always used love and patience to help children grow happily. I believe every child is unique and full of potential. With the right support, they can shine with confidence.

Education is more than teaching knowledge—it’s about building good values and attitudes. It takes love, care, and strong teamwork with parents. As I teach, I also grow and learn alongside the children.

I’ve completed a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, a Kindergarten Principal Certificate, and a Special Needs Certificate. These have helped me become more prepared and confident in my role.

I look forward to exploring and learning with the children, and working closely with parents to support their growth. With Christ’s love, let’s build a joyful and unforgettable childhood together!

Love Class

Hello everyone! This is Ms. Jess. I am thankful that God leaded me to The NMS Lutheran Kindergarten. I look forward to experience the love and grace of God with our children. I graduated from The EDUHK with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) in Leadership and Non-Chinese Speaking Children. Also, I have the Certificate of Grade 6 in Practical Piano and Grade 5 in Piano Theory from ABRSM, and completed the Certificate in Play Therapy for Children.  I would like to utilize the knowledge I gained from my study into my teaching, to understand the uniqueness of every child and share professional advice with their parents. According to my overseas study experience in Australia, self-directed learning is essential.  I will provide a relaxing learning atmosphere that inspires children to develop their exploration and problem-solving abilities along the learning path. I wish to raise their learning interest and enhance their confidence in verbal expression by creating fun and interactive activities. Besides, I would like to cultivate children with the words of God to establish positive moral values for them. I wish them to become a healthy child who loves God and loves one another.

Hello everyone! I’m Ms. Taylor (Law Tsz Wan), and I’m delighted to join the family of N.M.S Lutheran Kindergarten. Peace class

Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Julie. I am very happy to keep teaching in this big family of NMS Lutheran Kindergarten. Thanks to the Lord’s guidance, I have been working in early childhood education for more than 20 years. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Hong Kong Baptist University. Years later, to further enhance my professional capabilities, I also completed the Certificate Course for Kindergarten Principals at Chinese University of Hong Kong.

‘Love yourself, love others, and love the environment” is the motto I tell children most over the years. While I believe gaining knowledge is important, nurturing positive values and attitudes is also a key part of education.

In the future, I will continue to work hard to improve myself, work with teachers to provide quality education to children, and guide children with love and patience, so that they can lay a good moral and learning foundation as early as possible, and grow up healthily and happily. I sincerely look forward to meeting you all.

Goodness class

Hello everyone! I am Ms. Vivian of Goodness class. Time flies and it’s my fourth year of teaching at NMS Lutheran Kindergarten. I am blessed to be a member of this loving and caring family. I enjoy and treasure the interaction with children a lot. Every child is unique and full of potential. By designing a variety of interesting activities for children to learn through play and real-life experiences, I believe I can be a companion in children’s path of learning and growth, which helps them develop a positive attitude towards active learning. In such a way, every child has the potential to become an individual who is eager to explore, good at expressing themselves, loves to learn, and dares to resolve problems. I am very much looking forward to learning happily with all the children in such a joyful environment in the new school year. I am also open to working hand-in-hand with our parents to establish a good relationship with mutual communication and trust so that children can grow up happily and healthily at home and school.

Hello everyone! I am Ms. Zoe, the class teacher of Goodness Class. I am truly grateful for the Lord’s guidance, which allows me to continue growing and learning together with you all in the joyful family of N.M.S. Lutheran Kindergarten.

I graduated from The Education University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I apply my professional knowledge in designing activities that are suitable for children’s growth and development. In addition, I have attained Grade 5 Music Theory and Piano qualifications. I hope to inspire children’s potential through music, enabling them to enjoy the beauty and joy of music. I am also certified in First Aid by the St. John Ambulance, which allows me to provide professional first aid care in case of emergencies.

I truly enjoy interacting with children. Through constant communication with them, I can better understand their personalities and emotions. Children can then learn new knowledge through play, and gain valuable and memorable growth experiences.

As we step into the new school year, I sincerely wish that all children, by relying on God, may grow up healthily and happily in our colorful school life, and be surrounded by mutual care and love.

English Team

Dear Norwegian Missionary Society Lutheran Kindergarten Team,

My name is Nina Smolcic, and I am thrilled to be joining you this coming school year.

I am a multilingual CELTA-qualified English teacher with experience in young learner education, private language tutoring and business translation.

As a teacher, I am dedicated to providing optimal conditions by creating a learning environment that is motivating and relaxing at the same time. I believe the main focus should always be the child and its learning. The student should be able to make sense of the content, connect to its experience, find it comprehensible via familiarities, have an appropriate amount of challenge, feel they’re cared for, participate in the community, and express their own unique creativity.

Over the years, I have helped numerous students achieve their academic and personal development goals, and I am confident of doing the same at your institution.

I am excited and looking forward to working together in the near future.

My name is Miguel Bastida and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I was born and raised in Mexico City. I graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2012 with a Bachelor in Arts (Music) and I love teaching music! I could teach it all day. I am a passionate person, who shows empathy and care for others. I also build great relationships with my students. I have been teaching English to kindergarten children for over twelve years and this will be my tenth year teaching at NMS Lutheran Kindergarten. I have experience teaching phonics to kindergarten students. Teaching and working with children is a joy to me. Part of my goal as an educator is to spark curiosity in the mind of my students. I love the energy and excitement that small children display. Kindergarten teachers have the opportunity to expose students to many new things, such as taking field trips to museums, factories and other places they’ve never been. Children love learning. They are eager to experience and witness new things, which makes my job exciting and rewarding. I am so looking forward to meeting and working with your child. We are going to have a great year!
